Anime Films via Downloads, Preloaded Cards for J DS

The am3 company is planning to release feature-length anime for the Japanese Nintendo DS portable console via downloads and pre-recorded memory cards. Until now, novels, manga, and short anime videos were available on am3's DSVision service, but not feature-length works. Pocket Monsters: Myuutsuu no Gyakushuu (Pokemon: The First Movie), the first theatrical feature from Nintendo's Pokémon franchise, will be available to download beginning on August 20 for 500 yen (about US$4.60). Four other Pokémon movies will available on prerecorded memory cards on September 11 for 2,980 to 4,280 yen (US$27–US$39).

The am3 company announced its service for downloading anime and manga titles on the Nintendo DS in November. However, due to delays, the DSvision service officially launched in Japan in June.
