Adaptation of naked ape's "stylish crime action" manga ships on Friday

The Animate.tv video-streaming website has posted the entire 12-minute, 30-second first half of the first volume of the Switch original video animation series in narrowband and broadband versions on Friday. The anime studio ACTAS, Inc. is adapting a "stylish crime action" manga by naked ape — the manga writer/artist duo of Otoh Saki and Tomomi Nakamura. In the story, Kai (Jun Fukuyama) and Hal (Takahiro Sakurai) are two rookie narcotic cops who go undercover in Japan to investigate a new drug called "Funny Angel."

The two volumes of the Switch anime series ships in Japan this Friday, October 24, and February 25. The original manga just ended in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine on October 18. Viz Media will ship the fifth volume of the manga in North America next month.
