New Astro Boy CG Film Images Posted

The Ain't It Cool News website has posted two images from IMAGI's computer-animated adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy manga. One publicity shot features the title character in mid-flight through Metro City. The second image shows Peacekeeper, Astro Boy's antagonist. The film was scheduled to go back into production on Tuesday after a one-week halt in production due to a break in financing. The film's North American distributor, Summit Entertainment will screen new footage at its New York Comic Con panel on February 8.
The film features director David Bowers (Flushed Away), scriptwriter Timothy Harris (Trading Places, Kindergarten Cop), and a cast with Freddie Highmore in the title role, Nicolas Cage, Donald Sutherland, Nathan Lane, Bill Nighy, Eugene Levy, Kristen Bell, and Matt Lucas.
