The April issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine has announced on Wednesday that production on a second anime DVD for Kentarō Katayama's Denpa teki na Kanojo light novels has begun. The story centers on a belligerent delinquent named Jū Jūzawa and a strange girl named Ame Ochibana who suddenly vows complete loyalty to him. "Denpa teki na Kanojo" or literally, "electromagnetic girlfriend," refers to the denpa-kei sub-genre of stories that imply bizarre behaviors are caused by electromagnetic waves.
The first 40-minute anime DVD will ship with the third volume of the Kurenai manga on May 1. A promotional video for that first DVD is already streaming on the official website for Shueisha's Jump Dash Bunko imprint. Katayama and illustrator Yamato Yamamoto also created the Kure-nai light novels that were adapted into manga and later a television anime series.
