ADV Adds Former CPM Title Darkside Blues

The Right Stuf online retailer lists the former Central Park Media (CPM) anime title Darkside Blues as an August 18 release from A.D. Vision. The 1994 anime adapts a manga that author Hideyuki Kikuchi (Vampire Hunter D, Demon City Shinjuku, A Wind Named Amnesia) created with Yuuho Ashibe. In the story, a dark mystic named Darkside leads a band of freedom fighters against the tyrannical Persona Century Corporation, which rules 99% of the world.
Next month, A.D. Vision will also reissue four other CPM titles: Grave of the Fireflies, Now and Then, Here and There, The World of Narue, and M.D. Geist. Central Park Media filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in April after not having shipped a new anime or manga title in over a year.
