Red Bull Hosts Cocktail Party, Free Death Note Showing

Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: The New People cultural entertainment center and the Red Bull energy drink company are co-hosting a VIP cocktail party in San Francisco on Thursday, December 10. The party will be followed by a free private screening of the first live-action Death Note film at the Viz Cinema for the first 125 people who check in at the VIP reception.
Viz Pictures originally screened the movie in more than 300 theaters across the U.S. in May 2008.
Viz Cinema recently screened both of the Gurren Lagann movies last month, an event that marked the U.S. premiere of the second movie.
New People is currently also holding a Japanese pop art exhibition at its Superfrog gallery, showcasing works from artists such as Junko Mizuno and Yūichi Yokoyama.
