Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Producer Niitsuma Discusses Characters

The Kotaku videogame blog posted an interview with CAPCOM producer Ryota Niitsuma last Friday regarding the Tatsunoko vs. CAPCOM: Ultimate All Stars video game. The game was released on Tuesday.
In the interview, Niitsuma discussed CAPCOM's process in choosing which Tatsunoko characters would be included in the game, and difficulty with getting Tatsunoko to approve some of their choices. Niitsuma noted that Tatsunoko denied some characters from certain properties, such as characters from the Samurai Pizza Cats anime series and the transforming motorcycle riders from Genesis Climber Mospeada.
Some of the characters featured in the game are from the following Tatsunoko properties: Golden Warrior Gold Lightan, Gyakuten Ippatsu-man, Hurricane Polymar, Karas, Neo-Human Casshern, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, Tekkaman Blade, Space Knight Tekkaman , and Yatterman.
Niitsuma said that CAPCOM will consider making more Tatsunoko characters playable in the game through downloadable content. He also said he hopes he can "continue to work with [Tatsunoko] and adapt more of their anime for games."
