posted on 2010-04-17 09:54 EDT
Broccoli, a producer and retailer of anime- and game-related character goods, announced a net loss of 288 million yen (about US$3.1 million) for the fiscal year which ended on February 28, 2010. This is the third consecutive fiscal year in which Broccoli has reported a net loss, although the previous fiscal year's loss was substantially higher at 743 million yen (US$8.1 million).
Broccoli also announced on Wednesday that its president, Yōji Ueda, is stepping down. Tomoharu Morita, the current head of Broccoli's 2nd Entertainment Division, will succeed Ueda as president on May 28. After graduating from Waseda University in 1974, Morita joined CBS Sony (now known as Sony Music Entertainment). He joined Broccoli in March of 2008.

While the story still has its logical flaws, it remains an engaging read that holds up well despite the passing of years and this volume continues to keep up both the promise and nostalgia of Takeuchi's masterwork.
Overall, neither Pokemon the Movie: Black or its White counterpart really stands out from the already packed herd. While not terrible, these are films that can be safely left alone unless you or your child have a compulsion to truly catch 'em all.
