13th Pokémon feature, 22nd Anpanman feature open in top 10

The newest Pokémon movie, Pocket Monster Diamond & Pearl: Genei no Hasha Zoroark, hit Japanese theatres during the July 10-11 weekend and made it to the #2 spot on Kogyo Tsushinsha's chart, while it took the #3 spot according to Box Office Mojo. The 13th Pokémon feature film (and 4th Pocket Monsters: Diamond & Pearl one) was ran on 369 screens and grossed US$7,186,582.

Meanwhile, Soreike! Anpanman: Black Nose to Mahō no Uta also opened in Japan theaters last weekend and was listed as #8 on both Kogyo Tsushinsha and Box Office Mojo. The 22nd feature film in the Anpanman franchise ran on 150 screens and made US$482,455.

Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider The Movie Cho-Denō Trilogy Episode Yellow: O-Takara DiEnd Pirates, the third part in the new Kamen Rider film trilogy, is no longer listed in either chart.
