The North American publisher Tokyopop points to the 115-second trailer for Scott Stewart's live-action film adaptation of Min-Woo Hyung's Korean manhwa Priest this past weekend. The film stars Paul Bettany as the titular priest who attempts to rescue his niece from vampires. Also starring in the film are Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, and Christopher Plummer. After three delays, the movie is now slated for release in 2D and stereoscopic 3D on May 13, 2011. Tokyopop announced at Comic-Con International on Saturday that the movie's prequel comic Priest: Purgatory is available now on Apple's App Store. Tokyopop is also releasing Ghostface, another series from Hyung.

The Japanese production company Kadokawa began streaming a new 80-second promotional video for Hana no Utame Gothicmade on its YouTube channel last week. The video is longer than the 45-second video that Kadokawa streamed in March, but shorter than the five-minute video that it screened during the "All Night Newtype Show!" in Tokyo that same month. The project marks the directorial debut of designer and manga creator Mamoru Nagano (Five Star Stories), although the project's final release format and date have not been announced yet. Gothicmade was first revealed in Newtype and the project's official website in 2006, but few updates on its status have been provided since then.

The Korean game developer Windysoft began streaming a demo movie on the teaser site for the Crayon Shin-chan Online game last week. The game is based on the late author Yoshito Usui's four-panel comedy manga. The manga follows the exploits of Shinnosuke Nohara, a mischievous (fictional) kindergartner in Usui's own hometown of Kasukabe. Windysoft is collaborating with Daewon Media and Rainfall Soft on the project.

The production company Brostar began streaming a 90-second trailer for the live-action film adaptation of Tōru Honda and Kasumu Kirino's Light Novel no Tanoshii Kakikata light novels on Saturday. The story centers on Yakumo Atae, a first-year student who knows the hidden secret of his fearsome classmate Tsurugi Yabusame — while she is the school's strongest girl, she is also a budding light novel author under the penname Mio Himemiya. Tsurugi is stuck in a huge slump while writing her new romantic comedy. Yakumo's cousin Kokona Atae happens to be Tsurugi's editor, and Kokona suggests that Yakumo and Tsurugi become a couple so that Tsurugi can know the experience of romance. The film will open in Japan on December 4.
