Manga Creators' Panels on New Youth Ordinance Bill Streamed

Manga creators Osamu Akimoto (Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo), Fujiko Fujio A (Doraemon, Kaibutsu-kun), Leiji Matsumoto (Space Pirate Captain Harlock, Galaxy Express 999), Tetsuya Chiba (Ashita no Joe), Souichi Moto (Dakkan, Megumi), and Juzo Yamasaki (Mukoujou, Tsuri Baka Nisshi) are holding a press conference to voice their opposition to the new proposed amendment to Tokyo's Youth Healthy Development Ordinance on Monday. The Nico Nico Douga website began streaming the press conference shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Monday in Japan (2:30 a.m. EST).
Nico Nico Douga will also stream a separate special program about the bill at 9:00 p.m. in Japan (7:00 a.m. EST). Media journalist Daisuke Tsuda will host a panel with manga creator Ken Akamatsu (Love Hina, Negima! Magister Negi Magi), scholars and critics Hiroki Azuma (Fractale) and Kaoru Nagayama, self-described "otaku lawyer" and manga creators' rights advocate Takashi Yamaguchi, and members of the Japan Magazine Publishers Association.
