Ro-Kyu-Bu! Sports Comedy Light Novels Get Anime

Sagu Aoyama's story of high school boy who becomes grade school's basketball coach

An insert from ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint has announced that an anime adaptation of Sagu Aoyama's Ro-Kyu-Bu! sports comedy light novel series has been green-lit. The story centers around a high school freshman boy named Subaru Hasegawa who joined the basketball team, but the team stopped playing due to the captain being suspected of being a lolicon. Subaru somehow ends up as a coach of an elementary school's basketball team with five girls.

Aoyama began the series in 2009, and the seventh volume is shipping this month. The artist Tinkle illustrates the light novel volumes, and another artist, Yūki Takami, has been drawing a manga adaptation in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki G's Magazine since late last year.
