News Akiko Yano and Scoop on Somebody Perform Live in Toronto Tonight

Musicians provided music and voices to ATASHIn'CHI, BLEACH, Ponyo and more.
Grammy award winning musician and actress Akiko Yano (My Neighbors the Yamadas, ATASHIn'CHI, Ponyo) will hold a concert tonight at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC) in Toronto, Ontario.
In addition to a prolific music career as a solo artist, Yano also contributed to several albums of synthpop band Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) and vice-versa. She also created and performed the sound effects, using only her voice, for two of Hayao Miyazaki's Ghibli Museum Shorts, Yado-Sagashi and Mizugumo Monmon.
Yano will be joined in concert by Japanese R&B duo Skoop on Somebody. The duo has contributed music to BLEACH and Angel Heart.
The concert is tonight at 7pm. Additional details are available at the JCCC website.
