Wanimagazine to Replace Gelatin Bishōjo Mag With Hime

Color manga anthology with Kino's Kuroboshi, C's mebae, Ehrgeiz's Takamichi

The Japanese publisher Wanimagazine will launch a new full-color bishōjo manga anthology magazine called Hime in late August to replace its quarterly "leading-edge bishōjo" comic magazine Gelatin. The first 150-page issue is titled "Natsu Hime -Kuroboshi Kōhaku-" (Summer Princess -Kouhaku Kuroboshi-), and it will feature the theme of "yuri shōjo" with a pin-up poster by Kouhaku Kuroboshi (Allison, Lillia & Treize, Kino's Journey, Shigofumi - Letters from the Departed, Sky Girls).

The anthology will be published every quarter with a different theme for each issue. The artist lineup will include veteran manga creators mebae (C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility designer, Black Rock Shooter animator), Takamichi (Ehrgeiz game, Comic LO cover illustrator), and Nisieda (Forbidden Love, Pure Mail) — as well as new talent such as Yu, Yoshinori Shizuma, and PIROSHI.

The anthology replaces the quarterly magazine Gelatin which launched in 2009.
