Tatsumi Film Wins at Dubai International Film Festival

Eric Khoo's animated bio of manga creator Yoshihiro Tatsumi wins best film
Eric Khoo's Tatsumi movie won the best film award at this year's Dubai International Film Festival. Tatsumi is an animated film adaptation of Yoshihiro Tatsumi's autobiographical manga A Drifting Life. Additionally, the film took the best composer prize in Dubai, and won best film in the Muhr AsiaAfrica competition.
The Tatsumi film made news in October when Singapore submitted the film for Oscar consideration for the 84th annual Academy Awards.
Yoshihiro Tatsumi is the author of several works that include Abandon the Old in Tokyo, The Push Man and Other Stories, and Good-Bye. His manga, Fallen Words will be published by Drawn and Quarterly in North America.
