The talent agency Axl One has issued a notice stating that voice actress Yuko Goto (Hiro in Hidamari Sketch, Mikuru Asahina in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) will be going on hiatus due to poor health. According to the statement, Goto was told by a physician that she required treatment after undergoing an examination at a hospital.

As the length of her hiatus will be determined by further consultation with doctors, when Goto will return to voice acting activities is unknown. The fourth season of Hidamari Sketch, a series that Goto has played a role in previously, was announced as airing in October, but it is not clear what effect if any Goto's hiatus will have on its production.
