A. Higashimura, J. Miura, A. Yamada to Teach at Kyoto Seika University

Manga creators Akiko Higashimura (Princess Jellyfish/Kuragehime, Omo ni Naitemasu, Mama wa Tenparist), Jun Miura (Aiden & Titi 24-Sai/27-Sai, Shūkaku no Jūnigatsu, Shikisoku Zenereishon), and Akihiro Yamada (Beast of east, Last Continent, RahXephon character designer) will serve as guest instructors for Kyoto Seika University's manga department starting in April 2013.
The instructors are being added as part of a reorganization of the manga department. The reorganization will also include new courses on gag manga and character design. Higashimura (pictured at right) will be teaching the gag manga course, and Yamada will be teaching the character design course. Higashimura and Miura will both additionally hold special lectures for second-year students.
The university will also hold an exhibit on July 28-29 of original images from Higashimura's Kuragehime and Mama wa Tenparist manga. The exhibit will be open to the public.
