News Sega Files for Shining Ark Trademark

Sega filed for trademark registration on the term Shining Ark (#2012-52067) on June 27 in Japan. The company launched its Shining game franchise with Shining in the Darkness in 1991, and the latest game, Shining Blade, shipped for the PSP this past March. One of the role-playing games, Shining Hearts, inspired this year's Shining Hearts: Shiawase no Pan- television anime.
