North American anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks announced on Thursday that it acquired the third To Love-Ru -Trouble- television anime series, To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness. The anime will be available soon through select digital outlets with a home video release to follow in 2013.

The anime adapts Saki Hasemi and Kentarō Yabuki's manga of the same name. The story takes place in the now full Yūki residence. In addition to Rito and Mikan Yūki, Lala, her twin sisters Nana and Momo, and Golden Darkness are all living under one roof. Momo, who also falls for Rito, actively tries to create a harem for him. Meanwhile, a mysterious red-haired girl named Mea Kurosaki enters Sainan High School with a hidden agenda.

Atsushi Ootsuki is returning from the first To Love-Ru television anime to direct at Xebec, and To Love-Ru veteran Yuichi Ouka is also designing the characters. The cast is returning from the first series as well.

The anime will premiere on Japan on Friday.

Update: The Anime Network announced on Thursday that it will stream the series on Thursdays starting on October 4 at 9:00 p.m. EDT. The first episode of the series will be available for free and episodes 2-12 will be available for premium subscribers.
