News Attack on Titan Has 10 Million Copies in Print
posted on 2012-12-06 23:54 EST
Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan manga now has 10 million copies in print, as of the ninth volume which shipped on Friday.
The series broke the 9-million mark in August after the eighth volume went on sale. Kodansha USA published the third volume of the manga in North America on Tuesday.
The manga is being adapted into a live-action film with director Tetsuya Nakashima (Kamikaze Girls, Confessions, Paco and the Magical Picture Book), and the film is scheduled to open in Japan in fall of 2013 or later. A separate television anime adaptation with director Tetsuro Araki (Death Note, Highschool of the Dead, Guilty Crown) and voice cast members Yuuki Kaji, Yui Ishikawa, and Marina Inoue will premiere on the MBS station next spring.

Review
If this film causes more permanent damage than most Pokémon outings, that's wholly the fault of its main character, Keldeo.
On the whole, The Battle for Doldrey is a mixed bag of strengths and weaknesses. While that may be true of most things, there are few places where those lines are so clearly drawn as in this film.
