News Evangelion 3.0 Sells 2.84 Million Tickets for 3.9 Billion Yen in 20 Days

Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo (Evangelion Shin Gekijō-ban Q) has sold 2.84 million tickets in the 20 days since the film opened on November 17. The film has now earned over 3.9 billion yen (about US$47.3 million), up 400 million yen (US$4.8 million) since Sunday.
To celebrate the film's successful run and packed houses, participating theaters will begin giving away complimentary "Ōiri Orei Kakioroshi Postcard 2012/2013" gifts to moviegoers on December 15. Four different postcards are drawn by chief animation director Takeshi Honda, with the first featuring character Asuka Langley Shikinami.
