2nd film in trilogy ships on BD/DVD on August 6 after May premiere

North American anime distributor Viz Media began streaming an English-dubbed trailer for the Berserk Golden Age Arc II: The Battle for Doldrey film on Tuesday. The dubbed version of the film will open at the New People Cinema in San Francisco on May 11 as part of a double feature with the first Berserk movie, and both films will also air simultaneously on Neon Alley. The film will ship on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on August 6, and is now available for pre-order.

Ticketholders for the premiere will also receive a gift pack with items from Japan, and New People Cinema will be raffling off items such as autographed pamphlets, figures, cell phone straps, and an artbook at the screening. Neon Alley viewers will also have a chance to win one of 50 production art images from the movie.

The second film in the trilogy focuses on the epic battle by the Kingdom of Midland to retake Doldrey Castle from the Chuder Empire. The film opened in Japan on June 23. Viz Media has licensed all three films, and the company released the first film on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in North America on November 27.
