6-episode sequel series based on Masamune Shirow's manga gets bilingual DVD release

North American anime licensing company Maiden Japan announced on Tuesday that it has licensed the six-episode New Dominion Tank Police video anime series. Maiden Japan will release the series in conjunction with the home video distribution company Section23 Films. The two companies will release the series digitally and on bilingual DVD. The companies did not reveal a release window.

The sequel series to Dominion Tank Police adapts Masamune Shirow's (Ghost in the Shell) original Dominion manga. Noboru Furuse (Goddamn, Kaze o Nuke!) directed and handled the character design for the series, and Yoichiro Yoshikawa (Kyo kara Maoh!, Dominion Tank Police) handled the music. The sequel series continues to follow policewoman Leona Ozaki and her partner Al as they use their tank to fight crime in the city of New Port.

Manga Entertainment previously released the series on DVD in 2003, and Central Park Media previously released the original Dominion Tank Police video anime on DVD in 2003.
