Crunchyroll to Stream Fantasista Doll Anime

Story of middle school girl with fighting dolls to premiere on July 6

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it will stream the Fantasista Doll television anime series. Crunchyroll will stream the series on Sundays starting on July 7 at 2:30 p.m. EDT for members in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Hisashi Saito is directing the anime at the studio Hoods Entertainment from Goro Taniguchi's original concept. Hiromi Kato is adapting Anmi's original character designs for the anime and is also serving as chief animation director, and Yasuharu Takanashi is providing the music.

In this science-fiction story, Uzume Uno (played by Ayaka Ohashi) is an ordinary second-year middle school student who comes into possession of five "dolls" who fight and power up with special cards. The cast for the dollls include Minami Tsuda as Sasara, Sora Tokui as Katia, Chinatsu Akasaki as Shimeji, Akiko Hasegawa as Akari, and Sayaka Ohara as Madeleine. The main cast is also performing the opening and ending theme songs.

The series will premiere in Japan on July 6.
