Hyperdimension Neptunia Anime Ads Feature Ending Song

Afilia Saga sings for anime inspired by Compile Heart's videogame-homage RPG

The official YouTube channel for the Hyperdimension Neptunia anime began streaming the Neptune and Purple Heart versions of a television commercial on Wednesday. The commercial features the ending theme song "Neptune☆Sagashite" by Afilia Saga. Rie Tanaka voices the lead character Neptune in the first version, and then voices her transformed alter-ego Purple Heart in the second.

The anime adapts Compile Heart's popular Chō Jigen Game Neptune (Hyperdimension Neptunia) role-playing games. The story follows four goddesses who protect the video-game homage world of Gameindustri:

Neptune/Purple Heart (voiced by Rie Tanaka, inspired by Sega)

Noire/Black Heart (Asami Imai, PlayStation 3)

Blanc/White Heart (Kana Asumi, Wii)

Vert/Green Heart (Rina Satō, Xbox 360)

Masahiro Mukai is directing at david production, Shogo Yasukawa is in charge of the series scripts, and Hitomi Takechi is adapting Tsunako's designs for anime.

The anime will premiere on July 12, and Funimation is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.

NIS America released the Hyperdimension Neptunia and Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 games in North America, and it released Kami Jigen Game Neptune V as Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory in March. The first game anthropomorphizes the game console wars as female role-playing game characters.
