Producer: Second, separate Idolm@ster game is also in development as well

Video game publisher Namco Bandai Games revealed two new games in development for the PlayStation 4 console during Sony Japan's press conference on Monday. The two titles are new installments in the Mobile Suit Gundam and The IDOLM@STER video game franchises. The finalized title was not announced for either game.

In addition to the PlayStation 4 game, The IDOLM@STER franchise's producer, Yōzō Sakagami, announced on the game's official blog that a second, separate game is in production as well.

“We are currently preparing to announce a new [console or portable] game that is separate from the PlayStation 4 game. Please look forward to this installment as well.”

The most recent video game adapting the Mobile Suit Gundam anime franchise, Gundam Breaker, was released in Japan for the PlayStation 3 console in June, and will also be released for the PS Vita portable console on October 31.

The latest numbered game in the The IDOLM@STER series- The IDOLM@STER 2- was released in February 2011 for the Xbox 360 and in October for the PlayStation 3. The PlayStation 3 version came with extra contents not included in the Xbox 360 release, including new short story modes for Azusa Miura, Iori Minase, and Ami Futami, and extra downloadable contents available for purchase. The final batch of downloadable content for the PlayStation 3 version was released earlier this summer.
