New Kikaider Film Slated for 2014

Production company Kadokawa confirmed earlier this month that a new live-action film based on the Jinzou Ningen Kikaider 1970s television series is slated for next year. The upcoming film was first revealed in the end credits of the Super Hero Taisen Z movie.
The Kikaider television series aired in Japan from 1972-1973. It inspired the Android Kikaider - The Animation anime series, Kikaider-01: The Animation and Guitar o Motta Shōnen - Kikaider vs. Inazuman original anime video series, Kikaider-01 live-action sequel series, and Tobidasu Jinzō Ningen Kikaidā live-action movie.
Kadokawa also published a novel version of the Kikaider story in October.
