Cartoon Network Debuts Pokémon the Series: XY in U.S. on Saturday

The Pokémon Company announced in December 2013 that the newest Pokémon television anime series, Pokémon the Series: XY, will premiere on Cartoon Network on January 18 at 8:30 a.m. The Pokémon Company is streaming an English-dubbed trailer for the series.
Cartoon Network also aired a digitally-remastered version of Pokémon: The First Movie on January 4 and then aired both the Pokémon: Mewtwo—Prologue to Awakening (Mewtwo ~Kakusei e no Prologue~) special and the Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened film on January 11.
Pokémon XY premiered on October 17 in Japan. Cartoon Network then showed two episodes from Pokémon the Series: XY in the United States on October 19, right after the American premiere of last year's Pokémon film, Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened (Gekijōban Pocket Monster Best Wishes! Shinsoku no Genosekuto: Myuutsū Kakusei).
