Ro-Kyu-Bu's Basketball PS Vita Game Previewed in Promo Videos

"Secret Photo Op" game lets players train girls' team & more this March

Kadokawa began streaming a promotional video for its Ro-Kyu-Bu! Naishō no Shutter Chance (Ro-Kyu-Bu! Secret Photo Op) game for PS Vita on Friday. The video is narrated by voice actress Kana Hanazawa (Tomoka Minato).

The video begins with Tomoka asking the coach Subaru for just one more try. This third game is set just before graduation for the sixth-graders. The game lets players train a mini-basketball team via practice drills, games in which you directly control the characters' dribbling and defense, and verbal conversations. The video teases that the "Secret Photo Op" in the game's title indicates a new mission that the game offers.

Kadokawa also streamed a TV commercial for the game last month.

The commercial assures fans that even though it was January — seven months since the game was first announced, they only have to wait a little bit longer for the March 27 release.

This is the third game inspired by Sagu Aoyama's Ro-Kyu-Bu! light novel series and anime for portable game systems. The genre of the game is "Loli sports shooting adventure," and Vridge is developing the game.

Dengeki and Kadokawa Games announced in August that the game will be released for PS Vita, and not PSP as originally announced. The game has also been delayed from Fall 2013 to this year. The game will retail for 9,980 yen (about US$100) for the limited edition with bedsheets, while the standard edition will retail for 6,480 yen (US$65). People who pre-order the game will receive a booklet with a short story by Aoyama.

Vridge also developed the first Ro-Kyu-Bu! PSP coaching game and its followup, the "stealth" game Ro-Kyu-Bu! Himitsu no Otoshimono (Ro-Kyu-Bu!: The Secret Lost Items). The second game arrived on PSP with an original anime DVD in Japan last June.
