Seattle's Sakura-Con to Host Attack on Titan's Yui Ishikawa & Staff

The organizers of Seattle's Sakura-Con announced on Friday that the convention will host Attack on Titan voice actress Yui Ishikawa, Pony Canyon producer Tetsuya Kinoshita, animation producer Tetsuya Nakatake, and Production I.G animator Kyoji Asano on April 18-20. This will be the first appearance at a North American convention for all of the newly announced guests.

A relatively new voice actress, Ishikawa voices Mikasa Ackerman in the popular Attack on Titan television anime series. Her credits include Dhianeila in Heroic Age, China Kousaka in Gundam Build Fighters, Yutika in Lupin III: Princess of the breeze ~Kakusareta Kūchū Toshi~, and Filia in the Sword Art Online -Hollow Fragment- video game.

Pony Canyon producer Tetsuya Kinoshita has contributed to popular works including the "Origin of O-ren" segment of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, Ghost Hound, Blade of the Immortal, Sengoku Basara - Samurai Kings, Battle Girls - Time Paradox, From the New World, and Attack on Titan.

Animation producer Tetsuya Nakatake also recently worked on the Attack on Titan television anime. His other credits include Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE the Movie: The Princess in the Birdcage Kingdom, xxxHOLiC the Movie: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Real Drive, Sengoku Basara - Samurai Kings, Bunny Drop, Guilty Crown, HAL, and most recently Hōzuki no Reitetsu.

Attack on Titan character designer and animator Kyoji Asano is also scheduled to attend the convention. Asano has designed characters for Production I.G and Gen Urobuchi's Psycho-Pass, Kimi ni Todoke 2nd Season, and Tokyo Marble Chocolate. He joined Production I.G after graduating college and has since joined the staff of Wit Studio. He worked as an animation director for Guilty Crown, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and Sengoku Basara - Samurai Kings.

Previously announced guests for Sakura-Con include Sword Art Online director Tomohiko Ito, animator Shingo Adachi, director Koji Masunari, character designer Toshifumi Akai, singer ELISA, M.D. Geist creator Kōichi Ōhata and Mushi-Shi director Hiroshi Nagahama. English voice actors Todd Haberkorn, Leah Clark, Patrick Seitz, Erica Mendez, Erik Scott Kimerer, Matthew Mercer, and Christopher Smith are also scheduled to attend the convention.
