Keishuu Andou to bring back Shonen Jump's panty-masked superhero in Garaku.mag in June

The inaugural issue of Garaku.mag announced on Thursday that Keishuu Andou will bring back his fighting gag comedy manga series Hentai Kamen in the next issue on June 17. The new HK Hentai Kamen EX manga will star Kyōsuke, "the dangerous hero zealously devoted to justice" from Andou's Ultimate!! Hentai Kamen series.

The story of the original manga revolves around Kyōsuke Shikijō, a kenpō club member who accidentally has a pair of women's underwear land on his face while saving a girl from bullies. The underwear gives him the ability of using the entire potential of his body.

Andou's original gag manga ran during what Garaku.mag described as the "Golden Age" of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1992 to 1993. Andou already brought back the story in a one-shot manga "Hentai Kamen S" last year. The story inspired a live-action film with Ryōhei Suzuki (live-action Gatchaman, Mei-chan no Shitsuji, Hana-Kimi, Yankee-kun to Megane-chan) as the title character. Manga Entertainment licensed the film for the United Kingdom.

Masahiko Nakahira (Hakaima Sadamitsu/Sadamitsu the Destroyer, Street Fighter manga) will also launch his manga series Akai Kemono (Red Beast) in the next Garaku.mag issue. The story about "the apocalypse between life and death" follows "a glowing monster who rules over a town shuttered in darkness. From the depth of despair, a boy's 'escape route' began…." The first chapter is already running online.
