Idolm@ster: One For All's Serika, Ranko Gameplay Videos Unveiled

posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Revealed at Niconico Chōkaigi along with The IDOLM@STER 9th Live concerts

The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls and Million Live mobile game voice actresses Maaya Uchida and Momo Asakura previewed gameplay of their characters Ranko Kanzaki and Serika Hakozaki in Namco Bandai Games' PlayStation 3 game The IDOLM@STER: One For All on Saturday at the Niconico Chokaigi3 event. Ranko and Serika will appear in the game as rivals to 765Pro's 13 idols, and will dance and sing to their songs "Tsubomi Yume Miru Kyoshikyoku ~Tamashii no Shirube~" (Rhapsody of Dreaming Flower Buds ~Guide of the Soul~, by Ranko) and "Tokimeki no Onpu ni Natte" (Become a Heart-Throbbing Musical Note, by Serika). This is the first appearance in a non-mobile game for the two idols outside of cameo appearances as still images in the The IDOLM@STER: Shiny Festa PSP and IOS games.

The event also announced that The IDOLM@STER 9th Live concerts will be held in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo on August 2-3, August 16-17, and October 4-5, respectively.

The upcoming game will let players produce all 13 idols, which was impossible to do in the previous installments. The player starts with producing his or her favorite aspiring idol. Then it is time to pack the schedule with jobs and lessons. As the idol trains, the number of fans grows, and the story continues as she rises in the popularity rankings.

If the player is able clear each season's objective, he/she can add more idols to his/her producing roster. Twice a year, the idols — all 13 if the player has gathered them all — can perform in the "All-Star Live" concerts. The game adds new accessories, outfits, and songs as the player aims to produce 765PRO's top idols.

The PlayStation 3 game will be available for purchase in Japan at retail and via digital download for 7,600 yen (about US$75) on May 15. The first copies will come with a serial number for obtaining two exclusive idols in mobile games: Miki Hoshii in The IDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls and Chihaya Kisaragi in The IDOLM@STER: Million Live.

The limited first edition "765Pro Shin Produce Box" will come in an exclusive box illustrated with the agency version of the main visual. This 11,880-yen (US$115) version will bundle the special drama CD "765Pro ga Iku! Top idol no O-shigoto Kengaku," the 765Pro Idol trade pamphlet, the game itself, cleaning cloth with words from the company president, a 765Pro calendar with "written" notes by all the idols, a product code for downloading limited original design costumes, and 13 rectangular posters.

The downloadable version will be available from the iMAS Channel PlayStation Store app that was announced on the same day as the new PlayStation 3 game last September.
