Kamigami no Asobi, Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 2000% Will End in August

Original stories also inspired anime series.

Manga creator Utako Yukihiro announced on her official Twitter account on Wednesday that her manga adaptation of Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 2000% and her friend Moto Sumida's manga adaptation of Kamigami no Asobi will both end in the October issue of ASCII Media Works' Monthly Sylph magazine on August 22.

Kamigami no Asobi adapts Nippon Ichi Software and Broccoli's dating simulation game and revolves around heroine Yui Kusanagi, who is ordered by Zeus, a god and the headmaster of a school he created, to teach the meaning of love to young and handsome gods. The reason he has for doing this is to cancel the negative effects of the weakening bond between the world of the divine and the world of the humans.

Crunchyroll streamed Kamigami no Asobi as it aired in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the series in North America.

The Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 2000% is the second anime series adaptation of Broccoli's dating simulation video game series. In the slapstick romantic comedy, the female protagonist goes to a school for the performing arts with boys who are budding idols.

The original Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 1000% anime aired in Japan in 2011 and Niconico streamed that series outside of Japan. Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 2000% aired last year and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.

Sentai Filmworks licensed the first and second anime series for home video release in North America.

Update: Kamigami no Asobi author fixed. Thanks, Juhachi.
