The official website for the television anime of Shoji Sato's Triage X manga announced the main cast, the main staff, and the April premiere on Monday. The cast includes:

Akio Takami and Takao Kato (Abnormal Physiology Seminar, To Love-Ru, Upotte!!) are directing at Xebec, and Katsuhiko Takayama (Aldnoah.Zero, Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts, The Future Diary) is in charge of the series scripts. Akio Takami (Shaman King, Upotte!!, Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!!) is designing the characters.

Yen Press publishes the manga in North America, and it describes the story:

Mochizuki General Hospital boasts some of the most well-trained (and well-endowed) nurses in town. But though these ladies spend much of their day battling disease, their after-hours are spent fighting a very different sort of sickness... Under the leadership of the hospital chairman, a handful of staff members and local teenagers form a group of mercenary assassins, targeting the "cancers" of society and excising those individuals before their wickedness spreads.

Sato launched the manga in Kadokawa's Monthly Dragon Age magazine in 2009, and Kadokawa's Fujimi Shobo imprint published the ninth compiled book volume on September 9. Yen Press published the seventh volume on August 26. Sato also drew the art for Highschool of the Dead, another manga that inspired an anime.
