Yuka Iguchi performs theme song "Hey World" for anime premiering April 3

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Fujino Ōmori's Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru no Darō ka? (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) light novel series began streaming a second promotional video on Monday. The video features the opening theme song "Hey World" by Yuka Iguchi.

Text: Over 1.5 million copies in print! GA Bunko Award's first grand prize winner
Hestia: Long ago, we gods descended to this world where you children live for fun. What we gave you, as a blessing, was just the power to fight monsters. Children who received this, the family of those gods, become "Familia."
Hestia: I'm sorry. You ended up making a contract with this hack of a deity.
Bell: I'm the only member of the Hestia Familia. As a follower I won't do anything to mislead a god.
Voice: Bell, you have to seek out encounters in the dungeon.
Bell: God, I...
Bell: I want to become stronger.

Fujino Ōmori began the original light novel series under SB Creative's GA Bunko imprint in 2013. The novel won the grand prize in the fourth GA Bunko Awards. The novel has inspired three different manga series. Yen Press licensed the novel series for English release in North America, and it published the first volume in December.

Yen Press describes the story:

In Orario, fearless adventurers band together in search of fame and fortune within the monstrous underground labyrinth known as Dungeon.

But while riches and renown are incentive enough for most, Bell Cranel, would-be hero extraordinaire, has bigger plans.

He wants to pick up girls.

Is it wrong to face the perils of Dungeon alone, in a single-member guild blessed by a failed goddess? Maybe. Is it wrong to dream of playing hero to hapless maidens in Dungeon? Maybe not. After one misguided adventure, Bell quickly discovers that anything can happen in the labyrinth–even chance encounters with beautiful women. The only problem? He's the one who winds up the damsel in distress!!

The anime will star Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as the protagonist Bell Cranel, while Inori Minase and Saori Ōnishi will star as the "Loli deity" Hestia and the top-class female human adventurer Aiz Wallenstein, respectively. Other cast members include:

Yoshiki Yamakawa (Hatsukoi Limited, Little Busters!) is directing the anime at J.C. Staff (A Certain Magical Index, Little Busters!), and Hideki Shirane (Date A Live, Bottle Fairy) is supervising the series scripts. Shigeki Kimoto (Sky Girls sub character design) is designing the characters for the anime, and GENCO is producing the series.

Kanon Wakeshima (Vampire Knight, Selector Infected Wixoss) will perform the ending theme song "RIGHT LIGHT RISE."

The anime will premiere on Japanese television on April 3.
