New Wake Up, Girl Zoo! Net Anime Short Moves Setting to Taiwan

Avex Pictures began streaming a Wake Up, Girl Zoo! Taiwan de Go! original net anime short on Sunday. The anime is a sequel to the original Wake Up, Girl Zoo! anime. Unlike the first anime, the setting moves from Miyagi Prefecture to Taiwan.
The Wake Up, Girl Zoo! net anime shorts portray the characters of Wake Up, Girls! as mini-animals. Green Leaves is supervising the anime and is writing the scripts. karasfilms is handling animation production. Ordet and Studio Moriken handled animation production for the previous series.
The Wake Up, Girl Zoo! series premiered in October 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it debuted.
Wake Up, Girls! Shin Shō (Wake Up, Girls! New Chapter or Arc), a new television anime, will debut this year. The project will feature new characters. Shin Itagaki (Wake Up, Girls! episode 10 storyboards, Teekyū) is replacing Yutaka Yamamoto as the director of the new anime, and Miyuki Sugawara is replacing Sunao Chikaoka as the character designer, although Chikaoka is still credited for the original character designs. Similarly, Millepensee is replacing Ordet as the main animation studio. Satoru Kousaki and monaca are returning to compose the music at DIVE II Entertainment, and the original story and scripts are credited to "Green Leaves."
