Dengeki G's Comic Magazine to End Regular Print Publication

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Magazine will transition to web publication

The April issue of Kadokawa's Dengeki G's Comic magazine announced on Thursday that the magazine will end its regular print publication, with the last print issue being the May issue on March 30. The magazine will instead serialize its manga on Kadokawa's ComicWalker service and the Nico Nico Seiga service as a web publication.

The announcement cited "recent market conditions" and "changes in the way people read manga" as the reasons for the cancellation of the magazine in print.

The magazine originally began digitally with an "issue 0" in August 2012, before debuting as a print magazine spinoff of Dengeki G's Magazine in April 2014. The inaugural print issue was cover-dated June 2014 (seen right).

The magazine has mostly hosted serialized manga based on popular game, anime, light novel, or multimedia franchises. These manga include Love Live!, Charlotte, Angel Beats!, Release the Spyce, Ro-Kyu-Bu!, Garakowa -Restore the World-, Punch Line, Yuki Yuna Is a Hero, Tenka Hyakken, Little Busters!, Boogiepop and Others, Seishun Buta Yarō wa Bunny Girl-senpai no Yume wo Minai, Plastic Memories, Sword Art Online, Rewrite, and Tenshi no 3P!.
