posted on by Andrew Osmond
UK Anime News reports that the UK channel POP will screen Dragon Ball Super. A television advert by the channel describes the series as "Coming Soon" and shows extracts from the English-dubbed version of the series. The channel is on Freeview 206, Sky 616, Freesat 603 and Virgin 736.
Dragon Ball Super premiered in Japan 2015 on Fuji TV and other channels. The series is the first new Dragon Ball television series since Dragon Ball GT, which aired from 1996 to 1997. Akira Toriyama is credited as the original creator, as well as for "original story & character concepts." Toei Animation's Kimitoshi Chioka (Hakaba Kitarō, Kamisama Kazoku) is the series director, and Naoko Sagawa (Yomiko Advertising, Inc.) and Atsushi Kido (Toei Animation) join Osamu Nozaki as producers. Kido entered Toei just as the company was animating the Dragonball Z anime's Frieza arc.
