Love Live! Sunshine Voice Actress Kanako Takatsuki Returns from Medical Hiatus

Talent agency Amuse and the official website of Kanako Takatsuki, voice actress for Hanamaru Kunikida in the Love Live! idol franchise, announced on Monday that Takatsuki is returning from medical hiatus. Takatsuki is recovering mentally and physically, after having been diagnosed with adjustment disorder, and she will make a gradual return to activities.
Takatsuki will appear at "Part1" of Animax Musix 2021 on November 20. Details for the postponed "Kanako Takatsuki FANMEETING Royal Assembly-King's Birthday 2021-" event, which was scheduled for September 25, and the "Kanako Takatsuki Debut Anniversary LIVE ~ King of Anison ~" event, originally scheduled for October 30, will be announced at a future date.
She will not appear in the "Love Live! Sunshine!! !! AZALEA 2nd LoveLive! ~ Amazing Travel DNA Reboot ~" event on November 15-16.
Takatsuki began canceling her appearances in events and concerts in August due to her poor health. Takatsuki's official website further noted that Takatsuki is suffering from adjustment disorder, with which she was only recently diagnosed after regular medical examinations.
Takatsuki had canceled appearances in the "Love Live! Sunshine!! AZALEA 1st LoveLive! ～In The Dark /*Himitsu no Monogatari*/～" concerts on August 14 and 15, the "Animelo Summer Live 2021 -COLORS-" concert on August 29, online events for her second CD single "Subversive" release in August, and on the radio.
Takatsuki also missed some events on New Year's due to poor physical health caused by anxiety.
The first Love Live! Sunshine!! television anime premiered in July 2016. The second season ran from October to December 2017. The Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow film opened in Japan in January 2019.
