Viz Media Inks Deals with Cartoon Network Latin America for New Animation from Japan

San Francisco, CA - Viz Media, LLC (Viz Media), one of the entertainment industry's most innovative and comprehensive publishing, animation and licensing companies has closed deals for three new shows in Latin America. Cartoon Network has acquired 52 episodes each of ZATCH BELL! and NARUTO, and 61-30 second episodes of DEKO BOKO FRIENDS.

Loosely translated, DEKO BOKO FRIENDS means, "You and I are different, and that's why I like you." Featuring 12 unique characters including Melodina (who loves to sing), Belly Boing (who loves to eat), and Kaki Kaki (who is extremely shy), this clever animation has captured the hearts of all ages.

NARUTO, a ratings sensation on Cartoon Network in the U.S. since its debut in September 2005, is targeted at kids ages 9-14. Action-packed and filled with suspense and humor, the show features Uzumaki Naruto - a mischievous misfit struggling to develop his ninja skills, and with a little help from his friends, he just might become head ninja one day.

ZATCH BELL! is an action adventure series where kids 6-11 witness the ultimate battle of 100 mamodo! Teamed up with human partners and mysterious spell books, Zatch and his mamodo friends unleash their magic spells to try to become king of the mamodo world.
