Big Tent Entertainment and Internet Television Pioneer Veoh Networks Team Up for Exclusive Launch of Original Episodes Starring Japanese Viral Sensation Domo

Newly Created Shorts Starring Domo to be Showcased Exclusively on Veoh Starting June 20th

New York, NY, June 18, 2008 – Big Tent Entertainment, the New York-based branded entertainment company, and Veoh Networks (www.veoh.com), the world's most comprehensive Internet Television service, have teamed to launch a major, multi-tiered content initiative featuring Japanese cultural icon Domo. Highlighting the campaign, Veoh will be the exclusive Internet home for the first-ever officially produced short form series featuring the animated character turned global viral sensation. Domo will start to invade Veoh on Friday, June 20th at http://www.veoh.com/channels/Domonation.

The widely popular character Domo is a hilarious looking, fuzzy brown cave-dweller who became a cultural icon with his first appearance as the Japanese television station NHK's mascot in 1998. Domo was hatched from an egg, that one day mysteriously fell into the home of a wise, elderly rabbit named Usajii. Domo loves watching television and named himself after the first word he ever heard on TV which can mean either 'hello,' thank you,' 'excuse me,' 'sorry' and 'goodbye'. Domo also enjoys drinking tea, listening to garage band music and sinking his sharp teeth into seasoned beef with potatoes.

Starting from a very unusual place as an advertising icon for Japanese broadcaster NHK, Domo's unique look and personality catapulted the character from his 400 television spots into one of the Internet's biggest sensations, sparking worldwide recognition. What has made Domo so unique is the way his fans have chosen to personalize their experience with him. Being the poster child for personalized, user-generated content has enabled Domo to transition from popularity within Japan to a worldwide following, spawning countless fan-made images, websites and videos, along with a first-ever licensed product line selling at major trend retailers nationwide.

Veoh.com will premiere 20 Domo shorts over a five week span. The campaign will conclude with a sixth week, “Best of Domo” showcasing viewer's favorites. In addition to the all-new shorts, Domo will be a featured celebrity host on Veoh.com where he introduces his favorite “Picks of the Week” for different genres of video. Veoh has also launched a Domo dedicated page where the original Domo commercials from Japan are uploaded in high resolution and refreshed on a regular basis.
