It's an open turn, yes? I'll grab it.
From subs.
Character B: Naive... Bizarre... It's like I'm on a rollercoaster. I'm being jerked around and around. It's like this girl herself is the journey with no clear destination... You're freedom itself.
Character A: No, I'm not. Music is freedom.

Next, from subs
Character A: What's the point of being an idol if you don't sell?
Character B: It was easier being a god

No, that should be right. They're saying being a god was easier than being an idol.

What Vaisaga said. Kind of amazed that it hasn't been guessed yet.

Oh, I have a pretty good idea of what series it's from but absolutely no clue on the context, since I never fully watched it out.

The problem is there are too many possibilities. The number of anime goddess characters who are also idols (even if temporary) is not huge, but still large enough that the answer isn't immediately obvious.
I have a hunch I know what show this is, and even who the characters are, but it would be reckless to guess before any hints, especially since no-one else is having any luck.

I'm not too good at identifying characters on voices alone, but here goes: Mars to the rest of the Sekkou Boys and Isshie, Sekkou Boys. All of them are despondent after Isshie humiliating dropped them on the ground in front of a major star, and they are saying that being gods was much easier than trying to make it in the idol business. I think Character A is Hermes.

That's correct. I was going to make a note about the assumption that these were idol goddesses, but apparently it wasn't necessary
Turn is open.

FYI, my initial assumption for the show was Kamichu!. Matsuri was always trying cash in on Yurie's godhood by making her popular (and taking the proceeds to spend on the shrine), so that's why that series came to mind. In Sekkou Boys only two of the group are gods, so I didn't think of it until I realised that it was an idol unit rather than a lone idol.
