Gah! I really want to watch H&C and Monster!
I'll just need to see what channel Funimation Channel is on....
Well, I hope that the titles also get some DVDs soon...

Consider giving it your time: it's a great anime adapted from a great manga.
And yes, rainbowcourage, hopefully in BIG box sets, or else I won't be able to afford it. |
It's not so much the quality of it, it's the length. I rarely watch 52 episodes series, so much less longer running ones. And of those 52+ running ones, the one episode a week TV style was my game. I suppose I could try the same here...just might feel weird.

For anyone with Comcast digital cable, Funimation Channel is available on demand under the heading Anime Selects. I actually prefer having it on demand over a linear channel because I can watch it whenever it is convenient for me.
If only they weren't dub only... (not a big dub fan)

I hope at least Monster and Honey and Clover will be on DVD soon. I've been waiting for years. It makes me extremely depressed every time I go to a DVD store and see shelves well-stocked with new copies of Some Harem Show Volume 8 or Uninteresting Lead Character Meets Maid With Large Breasts Volume 2, while shows I actually want to watch are nowhere to be found.

The implications of this news are tremendous! It means if CN passes on Naruto: Shippuden dubbed, we could even seen it on the Funimation channel. Same goes for the InuYasha Black Tessaiga OVA, heck even new episodes of Bleach if [as] really does decide to lose all their anime.

This is rather disappointing to hear. I was hoping that Monster would be able to get on [adult swim] (waits for the usual "but [as] hates anime. Look what they did to Moribito!"). A long series like this needs to get some exposure to be able to be worth the cost of releasing it and I don't think that the FUNimation Channel provides that.
Good for the other shows, though. They would never made it on TV anyways. Well, maybe Buso Renkin.

I'm sorry if this makes me come off as a total idiot but, does that mean Nana will be aired dubbed? If so, anyone know the voice cast? Has it even been announced. Ugh. I feel so out of the loop!
As for the Funimation channel, is it only available through Comcast Digital? And how much is it to order? Sorry for the barrage of questions.

Man, I'm just glad to see some kind of progress regarding the NANA DVDs. Viz has been taking their sweet time with NANA, Honey and Clover, and Monster, and quite honestly, I was starting to wonder if we were ever going to see releases of these series.

Yes, same here, just glad to see progress, especially with Monster! I don't have the Funimation Channel, but I'm crossing my fingers that it'll hit Anime Selects and that a DVD release isn't too far off. Dr. Tenma and Johan's epic game of cat-and-mouse must adorn my DVD shelves!

That means I'll get to buy NANA and Monster soon? It isn't an exaggeration when I say I've been waiting for years.
Still I don't have the Funimation channel

I'm super excited about this. I have the Funi Channel (Verizon Fios), so my dvr will be busy. But it also makes me excited because hopefully it means that the dvds will be on it's way soon. I can't wait to catch H&C, Monster and HxH. I'm buying the NANA dvds, so I probably wont catch it on the Funi channel. I will buy H&C and Monster when they come out on dvd, but will watch on the Funi Channel in the mean time.
