4h season in idol franchise premieres on Saturday

Crunchyroll announced on Saturday that it will stream Utano☆Princesama Legend Star, the fourth season of the Uta no Prince Sama anime, as it airs in Japan.

The first episode will premiere on Crunchyroll on Saturday, with subsequent episodes set to stream on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. EDT. Crunchyroll will stream the series for members in: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Turkey, and the Middle East and North Africa.

Anime Network Online will also stream the series at the same time as Crunchyroll, although Anime Network Online's stream won't available in Australia and New Zealand.

Sentai Filmworks announced earlier this week that it had licensed the series. Sentai Filmworks has also licensed the first three seasons and has released the first two on home video. Niconico streamed the first season outside of Japan as it aired, and Crunchyroll streamed the second and third seasons. All three seasons are streaming on The Anime Network.

The anime's story will start where the third season left off, at the competition for who will open the Triple S international sporting event. Raging Entertainment's HE★VENS idol group had hijacked the competition between QUARTET NIGHT and ST☆RISH, causing chaos. However, after the QUARTET NIGHT members suggest a certain idea, the three groups aim toward a new stage, with HE★VENS swearing to get their revenge on the other two groups.

Takeshi Furuta (Utano☆Princesama Revolutions storyboard and unit director, The Comic Artist and His Assistants director) is directing the fourth Uta no Prince Sama series at A-1 Pictures. Tomoko Konparu (Uta no Prince Sama previous three seasons) and Sayaka Konno are handling the series composition, Maki Fujioka (animation director for three previous seasons) is adapting Chinatsu Kurahana's original character designs for animation and serving as chief animation director, and Elements Garden is again composing the music. Voice actor and singer Mamoru Miyano is returning to perform the opening theme song "Tempest."
