Wow!! Another milking project!! Geez, you'd think they let this cash cow go to pasture (then again, if I held the property I'd milk it till it was dead too Very Happy )

*shrug* I think eventually this is going to get to a point where Eva is so classic it's not so much "milking the property" anymore as it is for "nostolgia's sake". I mean, think about all of the Mickey Mouse-branded stuff that Disney puts out, but nobody ever accuses them of milking Mickey.

That brings on horrible images. but yeah I agree- plus I can't wait to see this movie!

I gotta give credit to the staying power of the Evangelion franchise. There wouldn't be any new projects if there wasn't interest.

Are there any links to pictures or information about what the movie is going to be about?

The movies are a remake/retelling of the Shin Seiki Evangelion TV series.

Well then September 1 is the day that world ends or what? Isn't this the first of four movies that are suppose to come out concerning Evangelion?

Where did you hear it's going to be four? All the news items in all the sites I've been to seem to say there's going to be some EVA movies released, didn't specify any number of movies in any of the news posts I've found.

It's been common knowledge for a while about the 4 movies. Looks like Newtype gave some of the information. Other places gave more. I think even ANN reported on the 4 movies a while back.

I just read that Wiki posted above. I don't know my friends, I don't like alternate reality anime all that much. The Wiki says it is going to be the same story but different characters and possibly design changes??? Eva is a classic, I don't think it wise to change things around.

I'd be alright with a new ending, or should I say AN ENDING!. the "End of Evangelion" ...well, I will leave that for a different thread.

And the wiki says they are going to change the NERV logo!!! WTF is up with that! The maple leaf and "God in his heaven, All right with the world" is perfect symbolysm.

But who am I. Guess we will wait and see before final judgment can be passed.
