New York Anime Festival Contest - Winner

Anime News Network and the New York Anime Festival have revealed the winner of the 2007 New York Anime Festival Mascot Contest: Libby by Shi Yuan Kuang. Shi Yuan, from Brooklyn, New York, will receive ten free passes to both the 2007 New York Anime Festival and the 2008 New York Comic Con. In additional, Kuang will receive the Evangelion Platinum Edition boxset and a one-year subscription to Protoculture Addicts from NY Anime Festival sponsors ADV Films and Anime News Network, respectively. Kuang's Libby will appear on the NY Anime Festival website, shirts, and even plushies. The New York Anime Festival has already announced Guests of Honor Peter Fernandez and Corinne Orr (the voices of Speed and Trixie from the series Speed Racer) and the North American premiere of Catblue: Dynamite.
