Ghost in the Shell Arise Stage Play's 2nd Key Visual Revealed

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

The staff for the Ghost in the Shell Arise: Ghost is Alive stage play revealed the second key visual for the play on Saturday. The official website for the play had revealed the last four members of the main 13-person cast in costume on Wednesday.

The image imitates the key visual for the fourth episode in the series: "Ghost Stands Alone."

Shutaro Oku (Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena, Blood-C: The Last Mind stage plays) is directing the play, while Jun'ichi Fujisaku (scriptwriter for Blood-C, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex anime) is writing the scripts. Tow Ubukata (Ghost in the Shell Arise series composition, scripts) is serving as editorial supervisor.

The play will run at the Tokyo Geijutsu Gekijō Playhouse from November 5-15. Tickets went on sale on the e-plus website on August 25. The play will "for the first time in Japan" use 3D videos as part of the main performance, and will feature the cast acting alongside the videos to enhance the performance. Attendees will wear 3D glasses.
