مطر من نار (Arabic)
火の雨がふる (Japanese)
Genres: drama
Plot Summary: An anti-war anime based on a book containing contemporary accounts of the fire-bombing of the city of Fukuoka on the evening of June 19, 1945. Among other anime of this ilk, the best is undoubtedly Studio Ghibli's Grave of the Fireflies, dealing with the firebombing of Tokyo. Other films dealing with this touchy subject are often cheap productions with a simplistic, cookie-cutter anti-war message aimed at small children.
Running time: 80 minutes
Vintage: 1988-09-15
