After being defeated in battle, a desperate feudal lord makes a pact with demons, offering each a piece of his yet unborn son's body to obtain more power. Years later, that son, Hyakkimaru, sets out on a journey to exterminate the demons that robbed him of his humanity. Together with the thief, Dororo, he travels the country, reclaiming part of what he lost with each demon he fells.
