Junjō Romantica's "final anime" to center around director Isaka, assistant Asahina

The December issue of Kadokawa Group Publishing's Ciel Tres Tres magazine revealed on Saturday that the anime adaptation of Shungiku Nakamura's Junjō Romantica boys-love manga spinoff Junjō Mistake will air as part of the Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi Season 2 television anime. "'Junjō Mistake' Love is without reason" will air as episode 6 of Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi 2.

Junjō Mistake is a love story about the previously untold past of Ryūichirō Isaka and Kaoru Asahina. Isaka is the senior managing director of Junjō Romantica's fictional Marukawa Publishing company, and Asahina is his assistant — who happened to be a childhood friend.

Shungiku Nakamura created the original manga for Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi, Junjō Romantica, and the Junjō Mistake spinoff. Kadokawa Shoten published a compiled book volume of Junjō Mistake with a bundled drama CD. Ciel Tres Tres describes the Junjō Mistake episode as the "final anime in the Junjō Romantica franchise." Michiko Yokote (Junjō Romantica, Junjō Romantica 2) wrote the episode, and Junji Nishimura (Kyo kara Maoh!, Rurouni Kenshin) storyboarded it.

Crunchyroll is streaming the Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi 2 anime into several countries as it airs in Japan.
